Meet the Founders

We are Julia and Patrick Trischman, and we were both raised in Montana, but have spent most of our adult life in Alaska. The Tongass National Forest has been our home since 2019.

Port Alexander, Alaska is the most beautiful and the most pristine location on Earth! We survive off of wild-harvested food, and now have taken it a step farther by extracting the medicinal properties from our wild Alaskan herbs in this pristine forest we call home!

We love sharing the art of wildcrafting with our two daughters, Ira and Kylie. As a family, our mission is to give you the opportunity to ease your symptoms with natural herbal remedies. We hope you enjoy our herbal remedies as much as our family does!

Stewards of the Tongass National Forest â€‹

We care deeply about conserving and protecting this amazing place. That is why we choose to use minimal amounts of plastic and use recycled packing material.

We harvest a little bit of ingredients from a lot of places so we don't deplete the resources in any one place. The forest provides a lot for us, and we want to make sure that we create a sustainable future.

Our Process

Spring, summer, and fall is the time of year we do most of our wildcrafting. We hike into the forest with an empty backpack, and come home with a full bag of handpicked Alaskan herbs. There are a few plants that don't grow wildly in the Tongass; therefore, we organically grow them in our garden.

To preserve our wild handpicked herbs, we air-dry them with no extra heat.

For tinctures, we extract all the medicinal properties from our plants in 80% proof Vodka. We have five tinctures, and all have multiple plants to create a remedy specific to your needs.

For salves, we extract all the medicinal properties through a process called a warm infusion. We do this to kickstart the medicinal extraction in 100% organic olive oil, then let the extraction continue for 7 weeks. Once we have separated the raw material from the oil, we create 8 different salves unique to your specific needs.

As a family, we design, print, and label all our products just for you to enjoy!
